The wholesale prices you pay reflect the current economic situation and our family’s business values. If you can pay cash for the cheese you order, or at least communicate that you can pay promptly you will be our favorite new customer.
Individuals, families, and small businesses like you, are the wholesale customers we want because you want to purchase a healthy product and build relationships with other like-minded people. You will get the same fair prices we offer to every one of our wholesale customers.
The other considerations in our pricing are new regulations and “hidden taxation.” We’re experiencing new rules from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, hosting 8 inspectors instead of 2, increasing paperwork, and paying licensing fees and permit fees. We are also paying additional fees to the Pa Milk Marketing Board and the National Dairy Board.
As you may have noticed over the past few years, the cost of production, delivery, and shipping has also gone up.
